Mālama ʻĀina Volunteer Day

Tockify

Description:

Join us in the sacred valley of Waimea for a morning of mālama ʻāina. Community members, ʻohana, and visitors are warmly invited to kōkua as we care for this treasured wahi pana. Volunteers help with weeding, removing invasive species, maintaining pathways and gardens, and assisting with basic upkeep of cultural and archaeological sites. Your time and aloha directly support the well-being of Waimea Valley while deepening our shared connection to Hawaiian culture, history, and the land that sustains us.

We will meet at the Waimea Valley Visitor Center between 8:45–9:00am to check in, sign waivers, use the restrooms, and fill water bottles. At 9:00am, we will gather for an overview of Waimea’s significance and engage in cultural protocol before walking to the worksite. The workday runs from 9:00–11:30am. Tools, training, and gloves are provided, and all volunteers receive free admission to the Valley on the day they volunteer.
